Welcome to A Woman's Place too!

A board-certified obstetrician-gynecologist for many years, Dr. Brathwaite’s passion for aesthetics was piqued as many of her patients began asking about anti-aging treatments. She began training extensively in the latest aesthetic procedures and techniques and today has over 12 years of laser surgery experience including extensive training with some of the newest lasers.

Her desire to create a safe environment for women who want effective, incision-less, minimally uncomfortable aesthetic procedures led her to open A Woman’s Place too as a medical spa in 2004.

Today, Dr. Brathwaite remains committed to providing the highest level of care and service to women in a confidential and soothing atmosphere. During consultations and treatments, Dr. Brathwaite and a licensed aesthetician will listen to your concerns, examine your skin, and help you decide which medical grade treatments are safest and best suited to your needs, whether they be dramatic improvement or subtle refinement.

Thanks to her high level of skill and personal commitment to the best possible service, most of Dr. Brathwaite’s clientele know her by word of mouth. Have you noticed that your friends look younger? Perhaps they have already visited the spa.

A Woman's Place Too! offers a variety of skin care services, which are listed below. Use this list to help you determine what services you may be interested in receiving. During your appointment, you will work with a licensed aesthetician, who will examine your skin and make sure the procedure you have chosen is right/safe for your skin.

Our services are medical grade - don't be fooled by advertisements for similar services for less. These procedures should be done by a licensed aesthetician, and you risk irreversible damage if an unlicensed person performs the work. It is against the law in Maryland for anyone other than a licensed aesthetician to perform chemical peels or microdermabrasion. These procedures must be done in a doctor's office.

Always ask for a licensed aesthetician! Anyone who says they have taken a "class" to learn the procedures will not have the same understanding of the layers of the epidermis and facial nerves and muscles, how they work and what these treatments will do to them. Irreversible damage could result!
