With laser hair removal being non-invasive, it is easy to treat delicate skin in larger areas without disruption to the structure of the outer layer of skin. Our physician and clinicians provide free consultation about the different types of laser procedures, and what process may be best for you. It is important to remember that the laser can only destroy hair in its active growth phase, called the anagen phase. Up to 25-30% of our hair is in this phase at any given time and the positive aspect to that is that during this phase, our hair has an abundance of melanin and the hair follicle is easily targeted.

Advantages and Disadvantages
Research has proven that it is a safe and effective method of hair removal.

Studies have shown that laser hair removal has a number of advantages over other methods:

It is considered safe when performed properly by an experienced provider. A board certified physician performs all of our laser procedures.
Dark haired consumers experience the best results.
Sometimes there will be re-growth. The hair is often lighter, and finer textured.
The laser method is quicker and safer than electrolysis.
Discomfort is minimal.
There is no down-time
Our lasers are effective, fast, comfortable and safe for permanent hair removal.

There are several factors that a laser clinician can often control to customize a treatment for efficacy, safety and comfort:

Pulse length - long pulsed lasers are considered safest.
Fluence - Selection of energy levels can be varied for skin type.
Delay - The time in between pulses of light affects how much the skin and hair follicle is allowed to cool off.
Spot Size - Affects the speed and penetration of the laser. A larger spot penetrates deeper. A good selection of spot sizes helps the technician reach the hair at the depth at which it grows.
Cooling - The surrounding skin may be protected by a gel, spray or cooled tip pressed against the skin. We also utilize a Synercool to cool the skin before, during, and after treatments.
